Physical Education

Pupils follow a varied programme of activities providing both indoor and outdoor experiences which contribute to their physical skills, knowledge, attitudes, values and understanding. They are given the opportunity to explore their ideas and feelings individually and in groups through the aesthetic and creative activities of Dance and Gymnastics. A wide range of Games activities are taught as well as Health Related Activities tackling issues such as strength, stamina and suppleness. In Year 5 the children go swimming, building on their experiences gained at the First School. Athletics is taught in the Summer Term to all year groups gaining experiences of a variety of activities which will further promote all round physical development.
